Mount Agung is the highest mountain on the island of Bali which has a height of up to 3,142 meters above sea level. Mount Agung is located in the district of Rendang, Karangasem regency of Bali.Gunung Agung volcano included in this type stratovolcano, this mountain memilikipunyai huge crater shape and has a very deep kedalamam and sometimes also remove smoke and steam from the crater. Gunung Agung conical tapered look perfect when we see it from Pura Besakih but actually peaks form is elongated and ends in the form of circular craters and wide.From the top of Mount Agung this we can see the peak of Mount Rinjani on the island of Lombok in the east, although both mountains are covered with clouds in because both are located on the top of the mountain above the clouds. We can also enjoy the beauty of the islands of Nusa Penida in the south along the beaches, including the Sanur beach and mountain and lake Batur in northwest.Hindu community in Bali believe that Mount Agung is the abode of the gods, but it is also believed that the palace there are gods on Mt. Therefore, the people of Bali made this a sacred place Kramat.We can also do the climbing, where the climb to the summit of this mountain can be started from the third climbing lane that is:

* From the south we could begin the ascent of the district of Karangasem regency Strait with Pura Pasar Agung basecamp in the market through the Strait.* From the south-east we could begin the ascent of Budakeling by jackfruit* From the southwest is a hiking trail that is commonly used by hikers starting from Pura Besakih Rendang sub district, Karangasem regency.
