Mount Soputan Erupts

Sunday (03/07/2011) morning, Mount Soputan located in the province of North Sulawesi during a period of eruptions, and issued an explosion of incandescent material. Showers of incandescent material issued by the mountains as high as 1784 meters, in the form of volcanic materials from the bowels of the mountain as a cloud of heat very dangerous.
"Today at 6:03 PT, there was an eruption of up to 6000 meters with the clouds of heat that leads to the west side of Mount Soputan," said Chiefs President of the Special Administration disaster, Andi Arief, in a statement received by AFP on Sunday (3 / 7 / 2011).
Volcanology and Disaster Mitigation Center (PVMBG) on Friday (07/02/2011), has raised the alert status of Mount Soputan standby.
In 2008 during the eruption of Mount Soputan by bursts of glowing hot cloud, which reached a distance of 6.5 km to the summit. This volcanic activity caused by fires around the slopes of Mount Soputan.
